UCLA 27 - Tennessee 24 OT: PAC-10 > SEC (LOL!!!)

September 1st 2008 11:05 pm

I just got done watching UCLA take on Tennessee and win the game in overtime. I have to say that the game was everything you could have asked for…well at least the second half. Both of the teams have stout defenses and produced a touchdown by the D/Special Teams (TN - INT to the house, UCLA - blocked punt).

I was really happy that the PAC-10 came through and beat an SEC team, outside of USC. The SEC is the most overrated, underrated conference in football. Everyone complains that they get no respect but any television/radio sports analyst will say they are the best conference. So when UCLA, who is a upper/middle tier PAC-10 team, can take on and look just as good as an SEC powerhouse it shows that the playing field isn’t that unbalanced. This is “Rocky Top’s” second loss on the West Coast in as many years after taking an L at Cal last year.
